I have been taking lessons with Ken for coming up on a year and a half, let me tell you his method works! He’s clearly very knowledgeable in all kinds of music and percussion and I never feel like there is something he can’t answer. After taking lessons with Ken for this long I without a doubt have improved immensely as a drummer and his curriculum has positioned me in a place where I feel like I have a grasp on the fundamentals while also having the freedom to improvise on the drum kit to my hearts content. 10/10 I recommend Ken for any student of percussion, young or old, experienced or not!

Our son started taking drum lessons from Ken when he was four years old. Ken was not only a great drum teacher but a great influence as our son grew into his teen age years and beyond. Our son is currently on a mission and Ken is still a great example to him.
I was very impressed with the way Ken varied his teaching approach with our son. A 4 year old has a very short attention span and Ken made learning and practicing fun. He later used much more advanced methods to speed up his improvement.
I would recommend Ken Culmone to anyone who wants to learn how to play the drums no matter what age they might be.

I started looking for a drum teacher in the area back in January and came across Ken’s Culmone Percussion Ltd. It was a perfect fit with his location, expertise, and personality!
I have been taking lessons with Ken for about 6 months now. I like how lessons build on one another and allow me to gradually improve my skills. Ken definitely knows what he’s doing!
His flexibility in scheduling has also been very helpful. With a busy adult life, something ought to come up every once in a while. Ken has always been very accommodating and tried his best to work around my schedule. Give Ken a shot! You won’t regret it!

Ken is an awesome instructor as well as a percussionist. My son started lessons with him two months ago and is already playing the full drum set. Ken is really good at helping children understand music theory on their level. So glad we found him, I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in drumming.

We are so grateful to have found Ken. My son loves playing the drums, but after 3 different instructors, no one felt quite right for us, till we met Ken! We love his positive influence motto and his incredible knowledge of percussion. We finally feel like we found the right instructor and can highly recommend Culmone Percussion to anyone!

Ken is an awesome drummer/percussionist! I have had the opportunity to perform with Ken and have seen his expertise in percussion displayed real-time. Ken understands the nuances of percussion……that the instruments are not only devices for keeping time, but that they meld with the music itself to accentuate the emotions that people feel as a consequence of the spirit connecting with the music. Not many percussionists can draw emotions out of their instrumentation, but Ken knows his art and can do it well. He plays in a way that creates synergistic resonance within the music, rather than like many whose drumming detracts from the music. He is also one of the most positive and fun guys that I know and makes leaning the art of drums a blast. I highly recommend him as an instructor to any age group, and to any capability level. If someone is really serious about creating a foundation of excellence in percussion music…or in outright drum set performance, he/she should give Ken a call and try him out.
